Festivals

The province of Phang Nga is not only famous for its diving sites but is also being visited by tourists because of its numerous festivities. One interesting event is the annual Free the Turtles Fair which takes place for seven days. Baby turtles raised by their Fisheries Department are released into the sea. If you like watermelons, you may want to participate in their Watermelon Day wherein there are lots of watermelons to share with everybody. Another festival worth joining is the Amazing Phang Nga Festival where there are entertainment and cultural shows, water and local sports competition, and selling of local products.


Khao Lak Explorer Dive Center

Six Senses to operate its third Thailand hotel

Six Senses Hotels Resorts Spas signed an agreement with international property developer Magnolia Quality Development to operate a hotel at the green development Forestias in the Bangna district of Bangkok, Thailand. The 60-room Six Senses Forestias has 36 residences along with the group's first membership club in Asia. MQDC will contribute its design and management to the development. The new Six Senses will be the company's first property in Bangkok. The company has an additional two hotels operating in Thailand: The Six Senses Samui in Koh Samui and the Six Senses Yao Noi in Phang Nga Province. Read more here
A new hotel will soon rise in the Bangna District of Bangkok, Thailand. Six Senses Forestias will have thirty-six residences along with the groups first membership club in Asia and the international developer Magnolia Quality Development Corporation ( MQDC ) will contribute to its design and management. This will be the third hotel that Six Senses will build in Thailand. The first of which is situated in Koh Samui and the other one in in Phang Nga Province. Six Senses company already has thirteen hotels in the Asia Pacific and it also aims to build more in the next five years or so.
